Cheesy Potato Flatbread

Soft, fluffy flatbread stuffed with spiced mashed potatoes and melted cheese—perfect as a snack or side dish!

📝 Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 cup (250g) plain yogurt
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour (+ extra for dusting)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

For the Filling:

  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled & mashed
  • 1/2 cup (50g) shredded cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup (25g) crumbled feta (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter (for brushing)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Dough

  1. Mix yogurt, flour, salt, and baking powder until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead for 5 mins, cover, and rest for 30 mins.

2️⃣ Prepare the Filling
3. Mash boiled potatoes with cheeses, paprika, cumin, and pepper.

3️⃣ Assemble & Cook
4. Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each into a 5-inch circle.
5. Place 2 tbsp filling in the center, fold edges to seal, and flatten gently.
6. Cook on a hot, dry skillet for 2-3 mins per side until golden.
7. Brush with melted butter before serving.

  • Add chopped herbs (dill, parsley) to the filling for freshness.
  • For crispier flatbreads, pan-fry in 1 tsp oil instead of dry cooking.
