 Basic Dough Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour: 2 cups (or all-purpose flour)
  • Salt: ½ tsp
  • Water: ¾ cup (adjust as needed)
  • Oil/ghee: 1 tbsp (for softness)

5 Filling Ideas

  1. Aloo (Spiced Potato):
    • Mashed potatoes + cumin + coriander + chili powder
  2. Paneer (Cottage Cheese):
    • Crumbled paneer + garam masala + chopped mint
  3. Keema (Spiced Minced Meat):
    • Cooked ground lamb/chicken + onions + ginger-garlic paste
  4. Methi (Fenugreek Leaves):
    • Fresh chopped methi + ajwain + turmeric

Method

  • Heat a tawa/griddle. Cook each paratha with ghee/oil until golden spots appear.
